Wednesday • May 14, 2014 | New Proposed Rule Will Give Work Permits to H-1B Spouses  | DHS published a proposed rule which will give work authorization to certain dependent spouses of H-1B nonimmigrant visa holders. Although H-1B visas are supposed to be "nonimmigrant" visas..., DHS proposed the rule change explicitly to encourage H-1B visa holders to seek permanent residence.
