With the media declaring "comprehensive" immigration amnesty a done-deal for 2013 and myriad special interests bankrolling this massive push - we were outspent before the battle even began. FAIR is a true David and Goliath story in 2013. We launched the "Amnesty 2013 Resource Center" that has been used by legislators, staffers, reporters and concerned Americans for analysis and up-to-date information during the legislative debate. We mobilized thousands of Americans into action. We ran nationwide television, radio, and internet ad campaigns. We put original research and analysis in the hands of our legislative allies who in turn used these reports to combat amnesty proposals in Congress. We helped throw a major wrench in the well-financed machine to pass amnesty in 2013. And we did this without a single cent of corporate money or government grants. Today is #GivingTuesday - a day dedicated to charitable giving. The amnesty lobby counts on major cash from special interests looking for a big payout from "legalization legislation." FAIR relies solely on the tax-deductible contributions of Americans dedicated to achieving fair and enforceable immigration policies that serve the people - not the special interests. We may have stalled Goliath in 2013, but we need to reload our slingshot in 2014.
