FAIR's Legislative Update: Wednesday • October 2, 2013 GOP Leaders Eye Immigration After Debt Ceiling House Republican leaders continue to negotiate immigration legislation behind the scenes, preparing for what appears to be an amnesty debate in the House as soon as late October. Biometric Bill Does Little to Secure Borders According to FAIR sources, House Republicans plan to move quickly on a biometric entry-exit bill introduced last month by House Border and Maritime Subcommittee Chairman Candice Miller (R-MI).
