| GOP Leaders Eye Immigration After Debt Ceiling  House Republican leaders continue to negotiate immigration legislation behind the scenes, preparing for what appears to be an amnesty debate in the House as soon as late October.
Biometric Bill Does Little to Secure Borders  According to FAIR sources, House Republicans plan to move quickly on a biometric entry-exit bill introduced last month by House Border and Maritime Subcommittee Chairman Candice Miller (R-MI).
White House Sees "Positive Signs" from House GOP that Senate Amnesty Bill Will Become Law  Last week, a high-level Obama administration official expressed optimism about the possibility of S. 744, the Senate comprehensive amnesty bill, becoming law.
Members of Homeland Security Committee Take Administration to Task for Entry-Exit Failure  During a hearing, Members of Congress expressed discontent over the refusal to implement an exit component of a biometric entry-exit system at U.S. ports of entry despite being law since 2001.
